Mastriano Appointed to Key Committees for 2021-2022 Legislative Session

HARRISBURG – State Senator Doug Mastriano (R-33) has been appointed to several key Pennsylvania Senate committees for the 2021-2022 legislative session.

Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman announced today that Mastriano will serve as Vice Chairman of the Senate Game and Fisheries Committee and was appointed to the Senate Education Committee. In addition, he will continue serving on the Senate State Government Committee and Senate Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee.

“The committee process is an integral part of developing solid legislation,” Mastriano said. “It is where proposed laws are publicly vetted and, if necessary, amended and improved. I am eager to begin work on these panels to develop commonsense measures that respect taxpayers, keep government power in check, and get the job done in the most efficient manner possible.”

In addition, Mastriano will continue to chair the Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee, which reviews proposals aimed at reducing red tape, streamlining government operations, enhancing government transparency and reforming the state’s regulatory code.
