August 25th: Mastriano Plans Teletown Hall.

CHAMBERSBURG – A telephone town hall is scheduled by State Senator Doug Mastriano (R-33) for Tuesday, August 25th to gather feedback from 33rd District residents.

The hour-long event begins at 8 p.m. and the format encourages local citizens to ask questions, or simply remain on the line and listen to the conversation.

“Constituent feedback is a vital component of state government, so I value these opportunities to hear directly from members of our community,” said Mastriano, who has hosted previous telephone forums.

“I truly value the transparency of an open dialogue,” added Mastriano. “I am looking forward to discussing statewide and district-specific matters with residents, and learning about the issues that are important to them.”

Mastriano scheduled the event in lieu of his nightly “Fireside Facebook Chat,” which began when the COVID-19 emergency declaration was implemented by the Governor in March.

It will be streamed live on the Senator’s official Facebook page, and also streamed on his website: www.senatormastriano.com/tele-town-hall.

Mastriano hosted telephone town hall events over the winter, and those forums featured dozens of callers, as well as interactive polls.

Questions and topics from Mastriano’s previous telephone town hall events included property tax reform, the 2nd Amendment, the state’s opioid crisis, robo-calls, veterans’ issues and red flag laws.
