It was an honor to present Freedom Medals to our special guests who spoke during the Anti-Semitism Roundtable discussion.
Each of them is doing incredible work within their communities, educating others about the Holocaust, antisemitism, the persecution of Christians, etc. while helping people better understand their roots, dangers, and lasting consequences. Unfortunately, many still fail to fully recognize the impact of hatred and intolerance and the lessons history continues to teach us.
Today we celebrate Europe Day, marking the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration of 1950, a historic step toward unity, peace, and cooperation across Europe.
Europe Day honors the shared values of democracy, partnership, and stability that have strengthened relationships among nations for generations.
It is a time to recognize the importance of international cooperation and the enduring ties between Europe and communities around the world.
I am pleased to announce a recent $800,000 Community Revitalization Fund Project (CRFP) award for The Gettysburg Station Carlisle Building project, part of a broader redevelopment project planned to transform a two-acre parcel that had been vacant for more than 20 years in the heart of downtown Gettysburg.
The award was recently given to 108 N. Stratton Redevelopment Partners LLC which requested the funding to support construction of the Carlisle Building, which is one component of the broader initiative to reestablish the underutilized site as a vibrant, mixed-use destination.
Funding for this project was made available through the Community Revitalization Fund Program (CRFP) via the Commonwealth’s Mixed-Use Development Tax Credit.
Big win for the community! ⛳️
South Mountain Golf Course in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, will remain open and continue operating for the 2026 season after a successful community campaign helped reverse the closure decision.
Local voices made a difference — preserving not just a golf course, but a place where friends, families, and golfers come together. Here’s to another season on the greens!

Today, on Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we honor the incredible husbands and wives who stand beside our servicemen and women through every challenge, sacrifice, and season of service. 🇺🇸
Military spouses are the quiet strength behind the mission — holding families together through deployments, uncertainty, and long separations with courage and grace.
I know firsthand that I would not be where I am today without my supportive and beautiful wife, Rebbie. Through every chapter of military service, public service, and life’s challenges, she has stood faithfully by my side. I am forever grateful for her love, strength, and unwavering support. ❤️
Please join me in thanking and honoring all military spouses today for the sacrifices they make for our nation.
I’m incredibly thankful to be helping lead the fight for Pennsylvania’s “Beagle Bill” — SB 381 — to strengthen protections for dogs and cats used in laboratory testing. 🐾🇺🇸
This legislation promotes adoption, increases transparency, and stops taxpayer dollars from funding painful animal experiments. These animals deserve compassion and humane treatment, and I’m proud to stand for that principle.

May 8th, 1942 - Imperial Japanese Navy suffers its first defeat at the Battle of Coral Sea.
The Battle of the Coral Sea was a pivotal Allied strategic victory against the Imperial Japanese Navy, marking the first time Japanese expansion was checked and the first naval battle where opposing ships never sighted each other, fighting entirely via carrier aircraft. While Japan gained a technical tactical victory by sinking the USS Lexington, the battle stopped the invasion of Port Moresby, saving Australia`s lifeline.
